Is it really free?
Yes. The map, the live conditions, the wind and scent overlays, and your first game plans each month are free — no credit card. Upgrade to Pro only when you want unlimited plans and the extras.
Do I need to sign up to try it?
No. You can drop a pin and see the wind, scent, thermals, and movement score without an account. You sign in only when you want to save spots, log hunts, or get AI game plans beyond the free monthly ones.
How accurate are the wind and thermals?
The conditions come from live weather and a real 10-meter land-cover map, and every vector, scent cone, and thermal is computed in code — not guessed. It is a strong model of the day; your eyes on the ground are still the final word.
Does it tell me legal shooting hours and seasons?
No — and we are upfront about that. We show roughly a half hour either side of the sun as a guide, but seasons, legal hours, and limits are yours to confirm with your state. We will never recommend anything unlawful.
What can I hunt?
Right now DeerHunt.ai is tuned for deer and turkey. The strategy, species behavior, and rut model are built specifically around them.
Will it work where I hunt?
